The Lagos state government has compensated Babatunde Omidina, commonly known as Baba Suwe, a well-known Yoruba comedy performer, for the demolition of his property in the Ikorodu area of the state.
Baba Suwe was one of 454 property owners who received a total of N2.2 billion in compensation.
At the commissioning of the Itamaga to Ewu Elepe road in Ikorodu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented the cheques to Baba Suwe and the affected property owners.
By providing photographs of the road project, the state government informs which property owners would be compensated.
