Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, recently took to Instagram to call out actor Deyemi Okanlawon for what he described as on-set "bullying." In a playful yet pointed post, AY noted that despite being over ten years older than Deyemi, the actor frequently competes with him on various aspects, from movie success to physical appearance.
AY humorously mentioned that Deyemi even asked the director to reduce his fight scenes in their movie The Waiter so that Deyemi could shine more as the hero. While AY admitted that Deyemi might have a better physique, he firmly disagreed with the notion that Deyemi is more handsome, urging his fans to "judge responsibly."
AY's post read, "Bullying has always been around, and there will always be people like @deyemitheactor who thrive on it. This young man, whom I am over 10 years his senior, wouldn’t let me be on the set of The Waiter. Always competing with me on almost everything, from his movie making over 100m in the cinemas to who is finer."
In response, Deyemi playfully apologized in the comments, saying, "Egbon no vex. I just say make we no too stress you for set as you be elderly person."
The exchange, filled with humor and lighthearted banter, highlighted the camaraderie between the two stars while addressing the topic of competition and respect in the industry.
