“Unlike other girls who dream of marriage, I think about working and making my own money,” Nancy Isime Reveals.

Popular Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has stirred social media reactions following a candid interview on the podcast “Creativity Live With Lynda.” During the interview, she discussed her journey in the Nigerian entertainment industry, her drive for excellence, and her personal values.

Nancy, who recently gained attention for wearing a niqab costume in an upcoming movie, explained that unlike many women who view marriage as an escape from poverty, her focus has always been on working hard and making her own money. She highlighted her independence and self-worth, declaring herself "the prize" and "the source," adding that she would not tolerate poor treatment from anyone or any job.

Speaking about the challenges in Nollywood, Nancy advised newcomers to expect online trolling and criticism, emphasizing that no one serious about the industry can avoid it. She also praised veteran actresses like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Mercy Johnson, and Rita Dominic for their lasting influence.

Nancy closed by criticizing a lack of excellence among some creatives today, stating that too many are focused on earning money instead of delivering quality performances.
