"Though I'm part of your new movie, should I be running away?" – Cute Abiola calls out Funke Akindele

Nigerian comedian and skitmaker Abdulgafar Abiola, known as Cute Abiola, playfully informed actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele that he might be unavailable for her movie premiere on December 13th due to a packed schedule.

In a humorous message directed at Akindele, Abiola wrote, “Dear @funkejenifaakindele!!! I just want to tell you that I will not be free on the 13th, you know I am a very busy person, and I have a lot of things I am doing, meetings here and there, too many calls, events and all, even the new America president, Donald Trumpets, has been calling me back to back to see my congratulations post. I ignored his calls! But you are just so close to me that’s why I am doing this for you.”

Abiola, who stars in Akindele’s latest film Everybody Loves Jenifa, continued his light-hearted note by poking fun at his own “celebrity” obligations, hinting that despite his role in her movie, he has a right to his time, jokingly adding, “...so what? I should be running away.”

He wrapped up with a promise to check his schedule, congratulating Funke on her new movie launch and wishing her success, with the assurance that if possible, he’ll be there to support her.
