Mr. Fatai Odunsi, who claims to be the father of fast-rising singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, is demanding that the artist buy him a ₦50 million house in Isale Eko.
Days ago, reports surfaced online alleging that Asake had abandoned his father, who is said to be battling deteriorating health after suffering a stroke. In response, Odunsi reportedly turned to the public for financial support.
However, conflicting accounts have emerged regarding Asake’s relationship with his father. While some sources claim that his father was absent from his life, others insist that he was actively involved and that it was Asake’s mother—who is now close to him—who initially abandoned him.
In a new development, Odunsi and his family have specified their demands. In a video circulating online, they are requesting that Asake provide a property worth ₦50 million in Isale Eko, which would generate rental income to sustain his father. Additionally, they are calling for a DNA test to confirm whether Asake is the biological father of an 11-year-old girl named Zeenat, whom they claim he has also neglected.
A family representative, addressing the singer in the video, urged him to take responsibility for both his father and the alleged child.
"Ololade, Mr. Money, please take care of your father. Even if Nigerians donate ₦10 billion to him, just ₦1 million from you would make him happy. If you don’t want to support him directly, buy him a house in Isale Eko where he can earn rent to survive. Also, if you have doubts about Zeenat, the mother has agreed to a DNA test."

Asake has not directly responded to the allegations, but he seemingly addressed the situation through his music. In a recently shared song, he sang about the pressure from those around him, hinting at the controversy.
The lyrics read:
"You can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God and always remember the day you’ll die and meet your God. My people, can you see? Even my father wants to cajole me. I used to press money for him, and I did it with one mind. No one can quench my fire. God is the one taking me ahead in life."
The lyrics have sparked discussions, with fans interpreting them as a direct response to his father’s demands.
