Popular Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has opened up about her challenging battle with breast cancer and her current state of health.
Recounting her experience, Osoba revealed that she first noticed a small, bean-sized lump on her breast. Concerned, she visited a private hospital, but the doctor dismissed it as a minor issue, attributing it to her being at the childbearing stage without having given birth or breastfed.
However, as time passed, the lump grew larger, prompting her to seek further medical attention. A scan confirmed the presence of a lump, which was subsequently removed. Believing she was fine, Osoba continued with her daily life, unaware of what lay ahead.
Later, at a general hospital, she received the shocking diagnosis—it was cancer. The news devastated her, leading her into a deep state of depression. She turned to prayers, hoping for a miracle.
Doctors then advised her to undergo a CT scan to assess the spread of the cancer. Additionally, she was informed that she would need to be on medication for five years and should avoid conceiving during this period. This news was particularly challenging for her, as she turned 39 last year.
Following her revelation, many netizens flooded her comment section with prayers and words of encouragement:
Tobi Bakre wrote: "His will continue to perfect His healing on you, Sis. We bless God for His miracle."
Tikare said: "Thank God you noticed it at an early stage. It is well with you!"
Yetty commented: "Congratulations, you are preserved in the blood of Jesus Christ. Affliction will not arise a second time."
Bukola criticized the initial doctor: "That doctor should be called out. Without proper evaluation like a blood test and mammogram? Thank God she sought further tests!"
Queen Kenny prayed: "Affliction shall not rise again in your life. Your healing is permanent in Jesus' name!"
Osoba’s courage in sharing her story has sparked widespread discussions about early cancer detection and the importance of seeking multiple medical opinions.
