“I made you through my movie” – Laide Bakare drags Eniola Badmus, recounts how Eniola embarrassed her at the movie premiere

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has finally broken her silence on the public fallout she had with fellow actress Eniola Badmus at the recent premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie Owambe Thieves. The incident, which was captured on video and widely circulated online, showed both women in a heated argument that nearly escalated into a physical altercation.


In a detailed video posted on her Instagram page, Laide Bakare expressed her deep hurt and embarrassment, revealing that Eniola publicly humiliated her at the event. According to Laide, when she approached Eniola to take a video together, Eniola snapped, telling her not to record and loudly declared, “She is not my friend.”


Laide claimed Eniola’s outburst was deliberate and intended to tarnish her image in public. She said, “I was so embarrassed. She wanted the world to see me as a bad person. God will judge her.”


Laide also claimed she had been a long-time supporter of Eniola, even giving her a major movie role 20 years ago when others allegedly avoided her due to her looks and body size. She accused Eniola of being ungrateful and of bullying her over the years. The actress went further, alleging that Eniola’s behavior had worsened since undergoing body surgery, mocking her by saying, “When you did your surgery and they were removing the fat, it's like they removed your brain too.”


She continued by saying that Eniola had previously bullied other actresses, including Ope Aiyeola, and accused her of body-shaming others while hiding behind filters and cosmetic surgery. Laide even dared her to post a bikini photo to “prove her confidence,” calling her “fake” and “ugly.”


Laide also shared a private message allegedly sent by Eniola in which she was insulted and called an "animal." In response, Laide reminded her followers that she once played a key role in helping Eniola rise in the industry, at a time when many distanced themselves from her.


The explosive revelations have sparked massive reactions online, with fans and social media users divided in opinion. Some called for both actresses to settle their differences privately, while others expressed shock at the level of personal attacks between the once-close colleagues.
