Rema to Perform at 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony Alongside Global Stars

Nigerian singer Rema has been announced as one of the performers for the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

The music star will perform at the Los Angeles Stadium alongside several international artists, including Tyla, Future, Katy Perry, Anitta, and LISA.

FIFA confirmed the development in a statement shared on its official social media platforms on Saturday.

According to FIFA, the 2026 World Cup will feature three separate opening ceremonies across the host nations. The United States ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on June 12, 2026, while Mexico City will host another ceremony on June 11. Toronto, Canada, will also hold celebrations on June 12.

FIFA explained that the ceremonies will combine football, music, and entertainment as part of what it described as a historic tournament across North America.

The organisation also noted that more international artists are expected to be announced for the celebrations in the coming months.
