The Nigerian roadside roasted corn seller who recently went viral after claiming she earns as much as ₦2.5 million every month has retracted her statement.
The woman, who was first interviewed by TikTok content creator Faith Obieke, appeared in a new video where she admitted that her earlier claim was false. She apologised to Nigerians and asked for forgiveness over the misleading statement.
According to her, she has never made ₦2.5 million in a month since she started selling roasted corn by the roadside. She clarified that the claim was not true and expressed regret for the confusion it caused.
