On Friday, September 17, the Department of State Services (DSS) reacted to a court order to pay N20 billion to Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho.
Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court made the ruling in response to a case brought by Igboho, through his counsel, Yomi Aliu, SAN, over the secret police's invasion of his residence at about 1:30 a.m. on July 1, 2021.
In response to the judgment, DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya informed Daily Trust that the court has yet to notify them.
“The court possibly has not informed us. So, my official response is that I don’t have any comments.” he said.
