A well-known actor Sunkanmi, and the son of famous actor Sunday Omoblanle, has told how his stepmother, Peju Ogunmola, encouraged his father to allow him to follow his dream of being a movie star rather than a soldier.
Sunkanmi recently told WFM 97.1's BON BOX Office that his father wanted him to join the military when he was a child.
To achieve this, he studied at the Nigerian Military School in Zaria, Kaduna State. Following that, he attended Olabisi Onabanjo Uni in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. Peju, his stepmother, stepped in and persuaded his father, who had been hesitant at first, to allow him to pursue a career in acting.The charming actor, who has already made his debut as a producer, said that his feature film would be released in September. Sunkanmi also described his wife of over eleven years, Abimbola, as the best thing that has ever happened to him.
