"We were deceived. We didn’t know we were coming to do a counter-protest," lamented the women who staged the ‘Say No to Protest’ rally in Abuja two days ago.

In Abuja, Nigerian women who participated in a 'Say No to Protest' rally two days ago allege they were misled and exploited. In a viral video, one woman expressed frustration, saying they had come for an empowerment program but were made to hold placards opposing a planned protest against hardship.

A user on X translated the video, where one woman, speaking in Hausa, claimed they were promised food and support but were unaware it was a protest. They were left without money, food, water, or transport fare.
