"Haters, you won," Bobrisky speaks on contemplating su!cide amid drama with Verydarkman.

Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed that he has been considering suicide after social media activist Verydarkman (VDM) exposed serious allegations against him. The controversy stems from claims that Bobrisky bribed his way out of serving a full prison sentence.

Back in April 2024, Bobrisky was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for money laundering charges and was sentenced to six months in prison. He was released in August 2024 after serving his sentence. However, on Tuesday, September 24, Verydarkman made a shocking revelation, claiming that Bobrisky was never actually imprisoned. VDM shared a leaked voice recording suggesting that Bobrisky bribed EFCC officials to drop the charges against him.

The leaked audio not only implicated Bobrisky but also accused popular singer Falz and his father, Femi Falana (SAN), a well-known human rights activist and lawyer, of being involved. According to VDM, Bobrisky allegedly paid them N10 million to drop the charges and secure him a VIP section during his supposed imprisonment.

The internet erupted over the leaked recording, leading the EFCC to invite both Bobrisky and Verydarkman for questioning as they launched an investigation into the bribery claims.

In response, Bobrisky denied any illegal payments to the EFCC but shared a cryptic message on Instagram, revealing his mental distress. In the post, he wrote, “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it's coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow human just to bring them down.” He added that he doesn’t need sympathy, as the only people he would have wanted sympathy from are his late parents.

A check on Bobrisky’s social media revealed that he had deleted all of his Instagram photos, sparking further concern among fans and followers.
