Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, recently visited the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, ahead of the premiere of their historical film, Lisabi. The governor shared his excitement on the platform X (formerly Twitter), expressing how honored he was to meet the couple and discuss the movie, which highlights the legacy of Lisabi, a legendary warrior from Egbaland.
"We were honored to host actor and filmmaker @TheDimejiLateef, alongside his wife, @Mobimpeoyebade, as he prepares for the premiere of his historical movie Lisabi in Ogun State. The film celebrates the legacy of Lisabi, a legendary Egbaland warrior. We extend our full support and wish him continued success as a proud ambassador of Ogun State," the governor stated.
Lateef Adedimeji, sharing photos and videos from the visit on his Instagram and X accounts, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, stating how thrilled he was to see the state's support for his film.
"I am deeply humbled to have been warmly received by the number one citizen of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun @dapoabiodunmfr. My wife @mo_bimpe and I felt truly welcome, and it’s so great to be home. We are thrilled to see Lisabi receiving such strong acceptance and support from the State Government."
He further praised Governor Abiodun's commitment to recognizing exceptional talents in Ogun State and promoting youth empowerment.
