Nollywood actress and skit maker Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, recently shared her mother’s humorous reaction upon learning about her pregnancy. Kiekie, who welcomed her first child in November 2022, took to Instagram to recreate the typical response of African mothers to pregnancy news. She revealed that her mother even composed a full hymn when she found out Kiekie was expecting.
In March 2023, Kiekie reminisced about her pregnancy and labor experience. She shared a clip of herself dancing to Olamide’s song "Durosoke" while she was 40 weeks pregnant, unaware that she would soon be in the labor room. As she enjoyed the music, her daughter was also preparing to enter the world.
Kiekie welcomed her daughter, Oluwashonaolami Olori (shortened to NOLA), in November 2022. During her first Mother’s Day in March 2023, she posted a heartfelt video with her daughter, expressing her gratitude for having her. Kiekie shared her trust in God to give her the wisdom to be a great mother.
Last year, Kiekie celebrated her daughter’s first birthday with a grand celebration. In a touching message, she described her daughter as her “Thanksgiving baby” and her “youngest and purest teacher.” She vowed to continue instilling positive words into her daughter’s life, expressing her belief that God would always be with them.
