Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has openly expressed frustration with some colleagues who demand high fees to feature in her movies but fail to support the projects after they are released.
In a strongly worded post on Instagram, the actress stated that she has no issue with actors charging as much as 3 million naira or any amount they believe they are worth. However, she pointed out that the real problem begins after filming is completed and the movie is released.
According to her, some actors who are well paid often refuse to promote the films on their social media pages. She criticised such behaviour, saying they act as if they worked for free, even though they were properly paid. She added that getting some of them to post about the movie for their fans becomes a serious struggle.
Nkechi Blessing stressed that filmmaking involves a lot of money and effort, noting that she does not get money easily. She warned that she would not tolerate actors who collect large payments but fail to support the promotion of the movie.
The actress ended her message with a blunt warning, telling such colleagues to stay away from her projects if they are not ready to fully support the work they are paid for.
