Court Grant 300k Bail Each To 49 Yoruba Nation Agitators.


The Lagos Police Command arrested and held 49 Yoruba Nation agitators on Monday, and a Lagos Magistrate Court granted them bail.

The suspects were paraded in Ojota in connection with the Oodua Republic massive event.

There are 47 men and two women among those paraded.

Some of them were apprehended and found carrying weapons, axes, Oodua flags, Yoruba Armed Forces vests, and other stuff, according to Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu.

Others were detained at the Ojota protest site.

Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, the IOO's Media Communications Secretary, revealed that the agitators will each contribute N300,000 with two sureties.

Human rights attorneys led by Olasupo Ojo and Oladapo Kayode submitted a request for their bail application.
