Rudeboy Denies Reports of Woman’s Six-Year Jail Sentence Over False Rape Allegation

Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has dismissed reports claiming that a young woman who accused him of rape and abusing minors has been sentenced to six years in prison.

The reports began circulating on social media on Thursday, March 5, with claims that the woman had been taken to court and sentenced after being charged for making false accusations against the singer.

The controversy started last year when the woman posted a tweet alleging that Paul Okoye cheated on his former wife, Anita Okoye, with his housemaid. She also made serious allegations against the singer, which he described as defamatory. At the time, Rudeboy warned that he would take legal action against her and even said he was ready to use her as an example to discourage others from spreading false claims.

However, reacting to the new reports about the alleged prison sentence, the singer said the information is not true. In a brief post on his Instagram Story, Rudeboy simply described the reports as “fake news.”

His response has sparked fresh conversations online, with many fans questioning the origin of the reports and calling for accurate information about the case.
